Whether you're looking to catch a concert from seasoned folk musicians, get the kids involved in Easter traditions, or simply explore what's happening locally, there's something for everyone. The weather is turning warmer (though nights will be chilly), so it's a great time to get out and support our local artists and community programs.

Get ready for an evening of unforgettable live music. THE RELICS brings together four veteran musicians performing a carefully curated selection of timeless folk songs that defined a generation. Drawing from the songbooks of James Taylor, Gordon Lightfoot, Neil Young, Ian Tyson, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, Sarah McLachlan, and Valdy, this group captures the essence of folk music's golden era.

The show is intimate and engaging — expect stellar performances of some of the most beloved Canadian and American folk tracks. Okotoks Oilers vs. Sherwood Park Crusaders — 7:05 PM, Viking Rentals Centre, Okotoks. Catch BCHL action as the Oilers take on the Crusaders. Fan-friendly atmosphere and great hockey.

Family Pysanka Egg Decorating Workshop — 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Okotoks Art Gallery, 53 N Railway St, Okotoks. Learn the traditional Ukrainian art of pysanka (batik egg decorating) with instructor Svitlana Slepykh. Best for ages 5+. $25 per participant. Register at recreation.okotoks.ca (Course #25649).

2026 Kub Kar Rally — 10:30 AM, Okotoks Elks Hall, 58 Elizabeth St, Okotoks. Watch young scouts race their hand-built vehicles and vote on decorations. Free to watch, refreshments available for purchase. Great family fun.

Adult Pysanka Egg Decorating Workshop — 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM, Okotoks Art Gallery, 53 N Railway St, Okotoks. Dive into the intricate art of Ukrainian egg decorating designed for adults. $25 per participant. Register at recreation.okotoks.ca (Course #25650).

Okotoks Oilers vs. West Kelowna Warriors — 7:05 PM, Viking Rentals Centre, Okotoks. Another exciting BCHL matchup. Come support the home team.

Beneath the Arch Concert Series — Andrina Turenne — 7:30 PM, Flare 'n Derrick Community Hall, Turner Valley (Diamond Valley). Franco-Manitoban artist Andrina Turenne brings Americana/Canadiana roots rock to the Arch. Tickets at beneaththearch.ca.

Okotoks Filmmaker Meetup — 7:00 PM, Denny's Okotoks, 57 Riverside Gate, Okotoks. Local filmmakers and film enthusiasts meet to share projects and discuss the craft.

Easter Bunny Storytime — 6:30 PM, Okotoks Public Library, 23 Riverside Drive, Okotoks. Celebrate Easter with children's stories and activities. Free, all ages welcome.

English language classes meet throughout the week at Okotoks Arts & Learning Centre and online via Zoom.

Community workshops and support groups provide space for learning and connection across the Foothills.

Spring is here, but the Foothills will see classic early-season variability this week. Friday and Saturday will be the warmest and sunniest days, perfect for getting outdoors. Sunday cools down with clouds and a chance of flurries, while Monday could see flurries or rain. Temperatures moderate mid-week. Pack layers and check conditions before heading out!
